Which would you use for Wedding Photography?

I use Nikon cameras so my favorite lens for wedding photography is this one.

Nikon 17-55mm f/2.8G ED-IF AF-S DX, It cost me around £900 ($1800) and worth every penny.

All the Wedding photography here was shot with this lens, every single shot.

As this is a fast f2.8 lens I never use flash, even in churches which can be dimly lit, and flash is often not permitted anyway. I may need an ISO of around 400 and shoot at as slow as a 30th/sec. but it has never let me down.

I have never needed anything wider than the 17mm available from this lens and if I need the equivalent of say 200mm, the optics are so good that if I end up cropping an image down to a quarter of the full frame, I can still print at over 20 x 16″ or use that cropped image to produce a double page spread 800mm wide in a Graphi-studio album. Even on my Nikon D200.

Wedding Photographer Wood Hall Hotel

Our wedding photographers have just completed our latest wedding album from Wood Hall Hotel where our wedding photographer’s have shot two weddings in the last two weeks.

The first wedding at Wood Hall was a small intimate one with just over twenty guests, the second wedding was a first for Wood Hall as it was the first time that the wedding venue had been used to hold a Jewish wedding ceremony.

Wood Hall is a great venue in Linton near Wetherby in West Yorkshire. It is set in beautiful grounds overlooking the river Wharfe and make for the perfect backdrop for our wedding photographers to work against.

Our team of two wedding photographer’s seemed to spend the whole of last month at Wood Hall shooting weddings and in planning meetings with brides and their families when arranging the final details of their weddings.

Hazelwood castle in Yorkshire is a good location for your wedding and Linton Studios have photographed weddings at Hazelwood Castle Country House Hotel over the years.

The Wedding was in October and it was a clear blue sunny day which was perfect for wedding photography. The photographs taken that day came out really well and many were turned into black and white photographs to enhance them.
